With an overpriced pumpkin-spiced latte in one hand, the crisp fall air encourages your first exhale to condense. You blow into your coffee to cool it and a whirlwind of steam and condensation twirl in the empty space above the hot liquid. Listening to non-migratory birds whistle, you might spot a scarecrow standing out over a field of light brown cornstalks. You take your first sip of coffee as a raven lands on its head. Pleasant weather and natural irony are two great parts of fall. But is there a way for cannabis consumers to get the most out of their season? There sure is! Check out our list of the best cannabis strains to enjoy during the fall season.

Super Lemon Haze

Super Lemon Haze is an easy-to-grow strain variety that produces a hefty yield. Courtesy of Green House Seeds, it’s a delicious variety that descends from a pair of well-known cultivars: Lemon Skunk and Super Silver Haze. Since it’s easy to grow at home, Super Lemon Haze is the perfect strain to add to your morning routine.

With its abundance in weight comes its potent smell. It’s citrusy, earthy, sour, and spicy smell in the morning is enough to alert your senses and prepare you for your day. Super Lemon Haze is packed with the terpene that gives lemons their distinct smell, limonene. A puff of Super Lemon Haze, with its fruity, oaky taste, is a perfect match to your favorite tea on a chilly autumn morning.

Afro Berry

Some fall days are lazier than others, but that doesn’t mean autumn has to be totally unproductive. A mild indica is often a great way to start a fall morning or enhance your after work routine. Afro Berry is the type of level-headed indica that relaxes the body without dulling ambition or motor skills. Before consuming, a whiff of plums and grapes delivers a calm alertness to your system. A mellow, berry-tasting smoke fills your system with peace and ends with a mellow, even-minded effect. As your body relaxes, your mind remains uninhibited and your energy nominal.

Elevation

What every fall day needs is a dose of sunshine. Not all autumn days have one, however, so adding some Elevation to the mix can easily brighten your day. In the fall, if you wake up at 6:00 am, the sun might be an hour or more behind you. If you’re craving the warmth and strength of the sunshine in the morning and can’t have it, consider sourcing it from Elevation.

Elevation is a mood-boosting, spirit-enhancing medicine that is like sunlight in a little glass jar. With a slightly sweet smell of morning trees, Elevation pairs perfectly with autumn mornings before the rooster crows. Having a hearty breakfast and including a few solid puffs of Elevation is a surefire way to have the energy and strength to get your day going.

SK9

If you’re looking for a way to stay focused and energized throughout the day, then consider adding SK9 to your daily routine in the fall. These classically beautiful nuggets are a crisp green color, coated in sugary trichomes and decorated with lovely orange hairs. Though its prototypical appearance may seem like SK9 is your everyday variety of cannabis, its aloof physique belies its energizing effects. On a chilly autumn day where you need to hone your energy and get things done, SK9 is a tasty strain that will put you in the right state of mind.

Noggin

For mornings when you need a boost of energy, want a hint of citrus and will spend time working alone after breakfast, Noggin is your best choice. For a fall morning with a bowl of porridge, the seductive, lemony smell of Noggin will awaken your senses. You’ll be treated to uplifting effects in the mind while your stomach settles with the warmth and sustenance of your creamy breakfast. Be warned, Noggin is good for productivity in the morning, but by lunch time, a more sedative feeling may overcome you. Be sure to enjoy a cup of coffee and a mango for brunch to help offset that problem.

Jack Flash

Start your fall day off right with some Jack Flash. For an uplifting and cerebral strain, Jack Flash pairs well with freshly chopped pineapple and jasmine tea. The combination of citrus from the fruit, flower in the tea and a crisp eucalyptus smell from Jack Flash is an energizing way to engage with your early morning hours.

While the effects may taper off in the afternoon much like Noggin, a lazy, chilly fall morning can quickly be turned into an activity-filled day with Jack Flash. Even if you’re just looking to get moving on the yoga mat, Jack Flash gives you the mental uptick you need without inhibiting your range of motion. You’ll also maintain peace on the mat, which may not be difficult when you’re waking up to a dark blue sky in late autumn.
