Massachusetts dissolved more than a century of prohibition by legalizing recreational cannabis in November 2016. Now, the state offers people robust medical and recreational programs.

In 2008, Massachusetts voted to approve a ballot measure that decriminalized cannabis. Four years later in 2012, voters approved medical marijuana. Thankfully, recreational cannabis for adult use passed legislation on November 8th, 2016, anyone 21 years and older will soon be able purchase, possess and use cannabis -- legally. Until the recreational laws are better defined, one can still enjoy the newly emerging marijuana industry and its varying events and activities.
