Appearance

This sample was comprised of large, light green buds covered with long, bright orange pistils. On first glance, the pistils are more noticeable to the eye than the calyxes. The trim job was average, there were some dark green sugar leaves left on the sample. The sample was denser than it appeared – a pleasant surprise when opening up the grinder. Trichome density was just average, and some of the trichome heads were missing from the sample. The few undisturbed heads we saw were clear, indicating the sample may have been harvested slightly early. Sample was adequately dried and ground up into a nice consistency that was easy to roll.

Aroma

Prior to being ground, the sample smelled just like Agent Orange or Cali O – that classic, sweet candied orange/tangerine smell. Not citrus, but truly unmistakable orange. Upon being ground, a distinct haze aroma began to emanate from the sample – sweet, musky, and an underlying tangerine/orange smell. The aroma was very refreshing and less artificial-candy smelling after the grind. We found it to be very similar to Tangerine Haze parent on the grind

Flavor

The taste was mild relative to the smell – refreshing, sweet, and musky. It certainly smoked like a haze but with orange and tangerine notes that became more present as joint burned. Flavor increased through the duration of the joint, which is always a good sign. Overall, the taste on this cross was more haze heavy than fruity – I would describe the flavor as sweet haze as opposed to citrus.

The ash burned grey with some darker spots. The smoke was smooth smoke and resulted in minimal coughing or throat irritation. This sample was a very enjoyable smoke relative to many samples. Based on taste and burn, sample was adequately flushed.

Effect

Although stated to be a hybrid, the sativa effects seemed to be more predominant with this sample. The effects seemed to be slightly delayed but then came the onset of mental haziness. The head high is strong and widespread – seeming to impact all areas equally as opposed to just behind the eyes. Body feels energized but not anxious, I certainly noticed increased movement in my legs while smoking the joint. The sample was surprisingly strong and I took a short break about 2/3 through the joint. After about 30+ minutes later, a wave of body relief hits that seemed to end the Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS). This is an interesting strain in that it could be considered relaxing or motivational depending on the scenario.

Overall

Great for increased focus, energy and managing headaches. Good for those who like hazes but don’t want to feel anxious or paranoid. The body high is delayed, so you may feel some jitters due to the increase in energy. This is not a clear-headed sativa, so choose something else if you aren’t used to the mental fog. It’s that slightly scatterbrained head high that’s great for great for brainstorming and conversing with friends. Overall, this sample was Tangerine Haze dominant and The White simply leveled out the unpleasant haze effects like the raciness and paranoia.
