Appearance

Before discussing the appearance of the product, we have to note the appearance of Denver Dab Co’s packaging. They do a great job of packaging their products in a unique matter that is recognizable and memorable to the consumer. Even better, they’re one of the only extraction companies to include terpene profiles and percentages for every product – which is pretty awesome.

Enough with the packaging though, let’s move onto the actual product. The Grape Ape sugar wax was quite visually appealing – a little dark, but a nice orange hue. In the light, the wax glistened and sparkled, making it tough not to stare at.

Aroma

The smell of the wax was not overpowering – not particularly surprising for a “non-live” product. Even though it was subtle, the Grape Ape Sugar Wax had many pleasant notes though. Perhaps the most apparent smell was a fresh and earthy one, evidenced by the product’s high myrcene content.

Flavor

To sample the Grape Ape sugar wax, our review team used a small, six inch rig with a two hole diffuser and a Quave Club Banger heated for 45 seconds and cooled for roughly one minute. The flavor was smooth and definitely stronger than the aroma.

Upon inhale, you could tell the flower used to create this concentrate was fresh, as it had a very crisp bite and a calm finish. For us, the flavor was most apparent after exhale, as notes of lavender and fresh earth came on post-dab.

All in all the flavor of this wax was quite nice. Paired with a smooth inhale and finish, this product is perfect for a quick uplift and palate enhancer.

Effect

Our favorite aspect of the Denver Dab Co Grape Ape sugar wax was definitely the strong, clean effect. Within a few minutes of sampling the product, our review team was feeling the psychoactive effects in full.

Even though Grape Ape is an indica-dominant hybrid, the most common feedback our team provided was that the effects were highly uplifting and cerebral. Once the effects were in full force, we felt ready to take on the day and any task at hand.

After 20-30 minutes, the effects were most strongly felt behind the eyes while a slow body high began to creep in. As the day progressed on, the more common indica traits began to kick in. We experienced a slight sedation and very meditative, relaxing feelings that were quite mellow.

This particular strain of sugar wax might be a great choice for those seeking muscle relaxation, slight pain relief, elevated mood and anti-anxiety problems.

Overall

All in all, the Grape Ape sugar wax was a great product that yielded excellent effects and experiences. A bit stronger flavor profile would have been nice, but the product is solid nonetheless. Denver Dab Co did a great job extracting a high-quality wax product that would be appealing to a wide range of consumers. We certainly enjoyed our experience and would recommend Denver Dab Co products to those seeking a pleasant concentrate experience.
