You've purchased marijuana in Nevada, now where can you consume it?
Following the legalization of recreational cannabis in 2016, there were high hopes that Sin City would be a world leader in cannabis tourism. Averaging over 40 million visitors per year, Las Vegas and Clark County officials knew many would be coming to experience their newly recreational market.
Unfortunately, social consumption lounges are not yet open in Nevada, with Las Vegas lawmakers holding off until 2019 to revisit the issue. Similar to other states, Nevada has taken a “wait and watch” approach, looking at Denver as a model, where Initiative 300 recently legalized consumption spaces.
