Battle of the Buds: Tie- Dye & Tug of War

Battle of the BUDS is a nod to the childhood games we loved, with adults in mind. We've got all the classic events like tug of war, etc.

GAME PLAY SETUP
There will be three rounds of 3 games total.

CHECK IN:
Participants need to visit the registration check-in at the pavilion to pick up the playing schedule, team information and participant wristbands. Check-in will begin at 11:00am, and all players/teams must be checked in by 11:45am.

PARKING
Parking is available at the park. We encourage you to ride in with a buddy - share in the fun!

FOOD & BEVERAGE
You can purchase lunch with a player ticket or separately. Lunch is nostalgic central keeping it to your childhood/cookout favorites. Vegetarian/Vegan options will be available.

THE GAMES
Battle of the Buds will feature some Field Day classics, as well as a variety of new games created by the EMC team.

Each game station will have a copy of the rules and Game Official to explain those rules, participation requirements, and to take your score.

WHAT ABOUT THE TIE DYE
Every participant will receive a tie dye kit that they can take home with them or complete during breaks. Not playing but want to participate? Every donation $4.20 and over will receive a kit at registration.

I’M JUST COMING TO SUPPORT
We love your support! We will have some of our community partners onsite to share about their organizations and products.

WHAT TO WEAR
It’s Maryland in August, so it’s going to be hot and potentially humid out! Sunscreen, Sneakers (no cleats allowed), Shorts & T-shirts/Tanks are recommended. Also, please be prepared to get a little wet. The EMC Team will have water on hand.

Team costumes are strongly encouraged! We are awarding prizes for Team Spirit/Best Costumes.
