The Texas Legislature signed the Texas Compassionate Use Act into law on June of 2015, legalizing medical cannabis in the form of high-CBD, low-THC oil. Although limited, this marks an historic precedent for cannabis reform in the south.

Under the Texas Compassionate Use Act, patients diagnosed with qualifying medical conditions are allowed safe access to high-CBD, low-THC cannabis oil. Medical cannabis is only available to registered patients and purchasing limits depend on the limits prescribed by a qualified physician.
