Super Lemon Haze - The Releaf Center

This was a very healthy-looking sample, showing no signs of stress and appearing immediately impressive both in structure and overall appeal.  The spectrum of strong greens and orange reminded us of many classic strains, while the trichome coverage reminded us that this was a serious modern hybrid that made it through an arduous selection process.  The harvest timing was basically perfect, with a collection of ambers amongst the clear/cloudy trichome heads, which were also very well-preserved.  Great job by The Releaf Center’s staff with timing and post-harvest care… the ONLY complaint would be that leaves were trimmed too far out instead of at the petiole, making it seem slightly leafy externally.

This strain will certainly grab you by the nose when the jar comes open — it has a wonderful spiced candy lemon pungency that is immediately known both in the jar/bag and once ground-up.  Pre-grind it had a definite skunky quality along with the citrus hints, but once ground, it was all candy-like tropical sweetness.  Bottom line: this is the best Super Lemon Haze we’ve smelled, and it’s absolutely gorgeous.

While it had many of the same qualities as the smell, they just weren’t as pronounced and pungent when translated to the taste.  One reviewer (who uses an IncrediBowl) really liked the taste, but the other two (glass pipe) didn’t seem to get as much pleasure out of it.  The pipe users said that a smoky and slightly earthy quality overruled much of the citrus sweetness, but the IB user had no problems pulling that taste from it even mid-way through the dosage when it was half-burnt.  So there’s certainly potential here…  Smoke-wise, it was incredibly smooth and easy to hit despite the large amount of expansion.  The final ash was a near-perfect white, indicating a superb flush.

(We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Major appetite stimulation, some relief of digestion issues, moderate body relaxation and pain relief, mood elevation and energy came on stronger towards the end.

We’ve had this exact same cut before from the same grower and it was absolutely incredible — this version seemed slightly less potent overall but was still highly enjoyable.  In short, A+ potential certainly resides in this strain, it seems to just be a matter of having a perfectly “dialed in” grow to push the potency into the upper echelon of medical marijuana.  With basically no flaws apparent in the grow, an incredible citrus haze smell, a perfect flush, and above-average potency all-around, this Super Lemon Haze is probably the best example of the strain we’ve reviewed to date.  Though the onset can cause some anxiety in certain users, the potency was manageable and it was a very smooth experience overall.  We don’t recommend this one to beginners due to the rushy start, but it provides quality hybrid relief that seems to go with your mood and situation.
