Appearance

Spongy in texture and pale army green with light orange pistils, this sample was mostly small spear or Christmas tree-shaped buds.  There was not a ton of visible trichome coverage, and it looked a bit leafy, but up close it displayed a solid percentage of ambers and the trichs were in good shape.  Though the actual bud was spongy and felt fairly wet, the stems still snapped, so our guess is that this sample was rehydrated at some point.  In any case, we did discover some tiny black mite eggs on the sample… not many, but they were present (no actual mites though).

Aroma

A blend of earthy and herby smells is the initial impression made by this strain, but it released a slightly sweeter smell when handled or ground.  The strain is known for smelling of sandalwood and other woody/earthy scents, and this one certainly had that, as it reminded one reviewer of bay leaves and even a little garlic, almost like catching a whiff of an Italian restaurant’s prep kitchen.  While it was a unique smell, it didn’t exactly impress the review staff and received average scores overall, in part due to its merely average pungency.

Flavor

Spicey and vegetal, with a strong element of earthy hash, this strain tasted about like it smelled pre-grind.  It again didn’t really impress the review staff here, as the taste wasn’t all that pleasing overall and wasn’t very pungent either.  Average expansion and harshness made this one a decent smoke, but there was nothing to bring us back to the taste element specifically.

Effect

(We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  General relaxation, relief from muscle pain and soreness, anti-anxiety, ocular issues.

Overall

While some definite issues existed with the grow, the hybrid but Sativa-dominant nature of this strain really shined through, leaving our review staff with relaxed bodies and hazy minds.  It helped a great deal with day-to-day soreness and pain while also having a pretty major eyes component.  Though nobody really cared for the taste or smell that much, the duration and effects basically made up for that.  A good choice for patients seeking a compromise between Sativa and Indica who don’t care much about aesthetics.
