Flo - Green Dream Health Services

This Flo had sound structure (if slightly leafy) and the great mix of colors that the strain is known for — dark and light greens, red-orange pistils, and streaks of blue, lavender, and purple throughout.  It was nicely dried but still had some give, making it a bit sticky when broken up by hand.  It had above-average trichome coverage, and the harvest was fairly well-timed, but perhaps a bit early (less than 10% amber trichs).  No real visible flaws with this one, just slightly shaggier than we would like.

This definitely had the distinctive and unmistakable Flo aroma to it, with tones of musky vegetation, sweet hash, and most of all, boutique soil.  The background sweetness seemed to have a bit of anise to it, making this an especially spicy and appealing Flo.  Very pungent, both pre and post-grind — if you’re a Flo-lover, this will make you very happy.

Again slightly sweet, the taste had a cool, creamy, almost mentholated quality to it, while the main flavors were soil and flowery pine.  The smoke itself was moderately harsh on the throat and produced a pretty massive cloud, often unexpected — high levels of expansion in this one that will probably make you cough.  The final ash was nearly white and fluffy, indicating it had a very good flush.

(We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Strong ocular attention, mood elevation, energy )especially at first), general relaxation, muscle tension relief, appetite stimulation, and possible respiratory relief (one reviewer noticed he was breathing more clearly).

While this wasn’t our favorite Flo we’ve ever tried, it was right up there with the best of its class, representing the strain proudly and checking all the proper boxes in the smell and taste areas especially.  While we would’ve liked a slightly closer manicure to remove some leaf matter, it didn’t seem to affect the experience much, as the smoke tasted good and wasn’t overtly harsh.  Flo’s combination of effects are something that most people would enjoy, since it’s so middle-of-the-road genetically, with even-handed Indica and Sativa influences coexisting peacefully.  Recommended highly as a daytime med for all levels of patients, especially for a near-”off day” when there is time to simply enjoy the effects.
