Appearance

Frosty and well-structured, this sample had all the proper signs of being potent, from the thick covering of trichomes to the tacky reside if left on the fingers after any real handling.  The coloration was a mix of darker greens with some sparse, thin red-brown pistils, but it had an almost yellowish cast with the naked eye due to the trichome coverage.  We really anticipated smoking this sample just based on the look — while some trichomes were a little early, we saw plenty of ambers brewing and some cloudy heads — the best part was how well-preserved they all were, showing superb post-harvest care.

Aroma

If aroma pungency is what you’re looking for, this is a great choice.  Even from 5 feet away in a sealed baggie, this sample could be smelled, and when it was broken up, it somehow even got more pungent, to the point where it was almost a nose overload and we could only smell it for short bursts.  The combination of skunky fuel, gun oil, rubber, hints of citrus, and garlic is something to behold, and really should impress anyone — the catch is whether or not you actually like this acrid and powerful of a scent, which is entirely personal preference.

Flavor

The sour and somehow sweet combination of fuel, chemical pine, citrus, and spice in this one was amazingly tasty on the early hits, leaving a strong lingering flavor in the mouth and sinuses.  Beyond those early hits, it was a fuel-spice lingering flavor which never took on negative qualities.  The resulting ash was a mottled dark and light gray, indicating that a more thorough flush could have taken place.  It’s worth noting that one reviewer reported the qualities of this strain his mouth and sinuses for up to 40 minutes after smoking — it definitely stays with you.

Effect

(We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Strong ocular pressure fluctuations, pain distraction (some numbing and relaxation qualities as well), relief of minor stomach discomfort, and definite mood alteration (some reviewers went more “up”, others went down at times).

Overall

This med will certainly leave an impression with you… whether it’s something you’ll come back to is entirely personal preference, because it’s definitely not for everyone.  Patients who suffer from anxiety, cardiac issues, or cannot handle extremely potent Sativa effects to start may want to steer clear of this one, because it’s not to be trifled with.  The aroma and appearance both were outstanding, and the flavor was very solid as well — again, the olfactory qualities are an acquired taste, but Diesel and Chem-heads will absolutely love it.  while we found some medicinal qualities in this strain (primarily ocular effects and pain distraction due to sheer potency), this one felt like more of a cerebral mind-expander type of strain than anything; truly one for the Sativa-lover who wants to experience raw power.
