Vermont medical cannabis patients can make use of state-regulated dispensaries since the passing of An Act Relating to the Medical use of Marijuana in 2003. The state’s rules have a wide range of accepted conditions, however Vermont does not offer reciprocity to medical cannabis patients from any other states.

While adult use is legal in Vermont, the state only recently passed S.54, An Act Relating to the Regulation of Cannabis, which establishes a system for retailing recreational cannabis. There are no recreational dispensaries in Vermont at this time, however dispensaries are slated to open October of 2022.
