Oklahoma’s northeast region gets its name of “Green Country” from the lush landscape, a stark contrast to the Great Plains and other parts of the state. The green hills and valleys hide more lakes than any other geographical area of Oklahoma.

Northeast Oklahoma includes Tulsa, the state’s second largest city and hotspot of the region. The city’s oil-rich past help to install a number of cultural institutions such as the Philbrook Museum of Art and Gilcrease Museum, as well as the renowned Tulsa Zoo, which was once voted America’s Favorite Zoo. Nearby Broken Arrow has lots to offer too, especially Ray Harral Nature Center & Park. Grab some cannabis and get green in Northeast Oklahoma!
