Its location on the Madison river and close proximity to Yellowstone has made Ennis a destination for wilderness adventurers of all types, but especially for fly fisherman. The town is draw for anglers year round, but especially in August for the annual “Ennis on the Madison” Fly Fishing Festival. That’s not the only big annual festival the town has, since 1935 the Ennis 4th of July Rodeo Parade has been regarded as one of the best independence day parades in Montana.
