Rustic River Cabins are tucked away in the Big Thompson Canyon just four miles from the center of the city of Estes Park, Colorado, on the Big Thompson River. We are close enough to Estes Park to enjoy all that the city and the Rocky Mountain National Park have to offer – yet far enough from town to skip any crowds or traffic.

We offer seven all-season, pet-friendly cabins on 16 acres. The cabins sleep between 2 and 6 people, depending on the cabin. Built in the mid 1940s, the cabins have a rustic feel that makes you feel part of the Rockies.

It is our pleasure to introduce a brand new rental home from Rustic River Cabins, Cabin 9, Hawthorne House. This home was built in 1912 and Rustic River Cabins is only the second owner of this 100 plus-year-old gem.  We have fully renovated the inside with a gourmet kitchen with a dishwasher, one and a half (1-1/2) bathrooms, and a beautiful deck overlooking the Big Thompson River with views of Longs Peak.  This romantic one-bedroom cabin for two, has it all.  The master bathroom is full of rustic charm with a huge walk-in shower. The bedroom has a queen size murphy bed with a river stone fireplace. The view from the bedroom, as you sit in the rocking chairs, is of the beautiful canyon with over 16 acres of wildlife trails.  The hot tub, out back, will be hot and ready for you to soak in the mountain air.

The cabin is 600 feet from the office of Rustic River Cabins.  It is in a neighborhood setting and only four miles from downtown Estes Park and seven miles from Rocky Mountain National Park.

We allow you to smoke on the property, just not inside the cabins. You may use a vaporizer inside if you would like. Some of our cabins have front porches where you can enjoy a canyon view and a little smoke.
We also have a path down at the river with a bench to enjoy that morning coffee and a buzz.
