Bride and groom holding each other 420 Culture

Now that legalization is in full swing, many established businesses are opting for a marijuana theme as well. Now, instead of purchasing marijuana then hiding in the bathroom to smoke it, Colorado tourists and residents alike can find 420-friendly businesses throughout the state, often in somewhat surprising locations, too. Here are a few of the most unique places you might find cannabis in Colorado.

Art Studios

It comes as no surprise that cannabis can help spark creativity, and now the two have come together in a cannabis-infused painting class called Puff, Pass, Paint. Here, participants can paint along with the instructor or follow their own imaginations as they paint, toke and bond with fellow classmates. All painting materials are included in the $50 class registration fee but the marijuana is not so bring your own to share with the class.

Cooking Classes

Cooking with cannabis involves more than simply throwing a hand-full of ganja into a batch of brownies. For those who really want to learn the secrets of cooking with marijuana, there are many cannabis cooking classes in Colorado like the ones offered through High Country Cannabis Tours. Here participants will learn basic food-grade extraction methods, tricks to cooking with cannabis and how to determine dosages. Samples are included in the class plus a few extra goodies to take home.

Movie Theaters

The nation's first 420 friendly movie theater, The Scarlet Theater, is about to open somewhere in Gilpin County, Colorado, though the specific location is currently still under wraps. When it opens, guests will be able to grab a bite, watch a flick and have a toke all within the same location. Though membership is required to visit the smokers lounge, movies and fine cuisine can be had for only the price of a ticket or a meal.

Massage Parlors

Topical cannabis is beneficial for a number of reasons, and now it can be used to its fullest potential through cannabis-infused massages. By harnessing the healing properties of the cannabinoid, CBD, these marijuana massages can relieve pain, improve skin irritations and reduce inflammation in the joints. There are many cannabis massage services located throughout Colorado including some that will even make house calls.

Yoga Studios

Marijuana can help focus the mind and enhance perceptions about the body so mixing it with yoga seems pretty natural. Sol Shine, a yoga studio and art gallery located in Denver, seems to think so, too, which is why they've created their own 420 friendly yoga studio. Though marijuana is not provided, participants are welcome to toke beforehand or consume edibles to lengthen the duration of the marijuana experience.

Cannabis Pairing Courses

Wine and food pairings have evolved to include high-quality marijuana strains at places like Cultivating Spirits where food fusion courses and cannabis cooking classes abound. Here, guests can learn how to pair local food with fine wines and carefully cultivated cannabis strains, take cannabis cooking classes or even book private 420-friendly dinner parties.

Guided Tours

Whether looking for a way to spend the day or just in need something to do during a layover at DIA, Colorado has a tour option for just about everyone. Options range anywhere from simple pickup and drop off to a full-scale cannabis learning experiences complete with a hands-on hash or edible making experience. There are also tours that offer rides to popular music venues or let participants cruise around Denver in style in a 420 friendly limousine.

Weddings

For couples who love weed almost as much as they love each other, there is CannaBride, a marijuana wedding planning service that will help you book 420-friendly venues, lodging and transportation; arrange appointments for hemp dresses, infused hors d'oeuvres and ideal wedding strains; and even help find the perfect cannabis flower arrangements for the big day. The cannabis concierge can also help book dispensary tours or edible courses for guests or as gifts for the wedding party.

Marijuana has moved from the back alley into some of the most unique places imaginable. From cooking classes, art studios and even massage parlors, marijuana is making its way into the hearts and lives of many people who are eager to try a marijuana experience rather than just a marijuana high.
