In November of 2012, Colorado became the first state in America to legalize recreational cannabis when Amendment 64 was passed by voters via ballot initiative. Retail marijuana sales began in January of 2014 and the state has never looked back.

Now, the Centennial State’s thriving cannabis market is one of the largest in the world, allowing adults of legal age to purchase up to one ounce of marijuana flower or its equivalent in other products (eight grams of concentrates, 100 mg of edibles). Colorado also has a well-established medical cannabis market. Additionally, adults and patients may cultivate their own cannabis at home.
