The biggest cannabis holiday of the year is here once again and Massachusetts is one of the hottest scenes to celebrate 4/20 in 2022. Remember, there are still rules and regulations surrounding cannabis consumption even though 4/20 is widely considered marijuana's biggest holiday. Always be sure to know the laws that govern the areas you're in, and be mindful about being too up front about your cannabis consumption. Just as law enforcement targets alcohol consumers on big drinking days (St. Patrick's, New Year's, etc.), the same goes for cannabis consumers on 4/20. Of course, law enforcement's main goal isn't to write tickets, but don't think they won't take the time to write you up if you're not following the rules. Bleacher Bar
It may be a popular tourist trap, but it’s one of the coolest popular tourist traps available if you’re a sports fan. Bleacher Bar is literally located under the bleachers at Fenway, with a view of home plate. It’s almost always packed around game nights, but if you don’t mind the shortage of space, there’s no shortage of comradery. Bleacher Bar may not be the ideal place to put down all of the night’s rounds, but a memorable stop for anyone who can appreciate a day at the ballpark.
Bukowski Tavern
Offering a wide beer selection, this dive is popular with the college set, but never so hip as to feel unwelcoming. Named for famous rancorous beat poet Charles Bukowski, Bukowski Tavern is the perfect place to grab a bite and a few brews with friends and feel moved by the poetic spirit. The bartenders might not be the friendliest, but that’s part of the charm.
The Crow’s Nest
Known as “the bar from The Perfect Storm,” the Crow’s Nest is the perfect place to head to feel a bit of nostalgia. From the book, “The plate-glass window in front is said to be the biggest barroom window in town.” When you're grim about the mouth and looking to knock off top hats, stop in the Crow’s Nest for a drink.
Bijou Nightclub
The Boston Bijou Theater opened on Washington Street in 1882 as the first American playhouse lit entirely by electricity. The electrical system was installed and supervised personally by Thomas Edison. Flash forward 129 years and Bijou Nightclub still brings the electricity. Check it out if you're looking to up the energy after a long day of consuming!
