Electric nails are the perfect tool for taking large dabs when your heart desires. The wiring is typically housed inside of a metal box, and the attached coil wraps around the head of the nail to replace the need for a torch. Depending on how much you’re willing to pay; there are digital and analog setups that range in ease of use and efficiency.
Digital units make it easy to stay at a consistent temperature every time instead of using a timer or checking with your wrist. Analog units still offer the desired consistency and are easier for transporting and maintaining, but the lack of a digital reading makes it hard to adjust the settings precisely. If you find yourself undecided on whether or not to buy an electric nail, consider these five reasons why you’d be happy you did.
#1: Being Able To Take A Dab When You Want To
Let’s face it, sometimes you just need to take a dab at a moment’s notice. Whether you’re about to run out the door, or it’s 7:09 and you’re trying to take a hit at 7:10, there’s no reason you should have to wait on a torch. Keeping an electric nail turned on is great for taking a dab when you want. However, this luxury also comes with being responsible for turning off the box at the end of the session.
#2 Buying Butane Sucks
If you like to dab, you probably know the pain of buying butane to fill a torch. Running out of fuel is the worst way to end a session, but buying more cans isn't your only option. Depending on how much you dab, $10 every week adds up, and it would be cheaper to use an electric nail instead. Stop running into your local shop to stock up on cans and start plugging in to dab out.
#3: Perfect Dabs Only
Torches are great if you can figure out the timing between heating up the surface and dropping the dab, but it’s not an easy skill to master once you’re high. Electric nails put control back in the hands of the consumer by fluctuating by the degree to stay at the desired temperature. Once you find the best setting for your setup, the days of burning your lungs with a hot nail will be behind you.
#4: No More Torches in the House
Not everyone is okay with having a torch with a large flame in the house, yet many rely on them for medicating with concentrates on a daily basis. To avoid using something that's hazardous, there are alternatives like the electric nail that works as a heat source without using a flame. This method is much friendlier to foreigners of cannabis because a torch is overwhelming when compared to using a small pocket lighter for smoking flowers.
#5: Consistent Temperatures For Large Dabs
Taking large dabs with a torch is cumbersome because it requires getting the nail hotter than normal in hopes that the excess oil doesn’t cool it down. Electric nails are perfect for taking globs because the coil keeps the nail consistently hot instead of cooling down from an oversized hit. Having a constant source of heat is perfect for huge dabs, especially while using a carb cap to vaporize any puddles that may stay on the surface.
Using an E-Nail makes dabbing easier than ever. All you have to do is turn it on and wait (a task anyone can handle while high). If concentrate is your go-to, consider how much money you spend on butane, the hassle of heating the nail for a big dab, and how awful it feels to burn your lungs with a hot nail. E-Nails can be expensive, but they add a huge value to anyone who loves doing dabs.
